I made a Minecraft Quilt!

I finished this up today!

It's my rendition of a Minecraft Grass Block, seen from the side ... Mostly dirt, with grass on the top.

I had fun making this, and I've got lots of ideas for my next one!

It's a generous twin size, made of T-Shirts, backed with fleece, so it's super cozy.

It's available on eBay for a little while - see this listing.

Minecraft patchwork? Why not?

I'm making a Minecraft quilt.

Because I can.

(You know, the videogame.)

It's like Minecraft graphics were made for patchwork!

T-shirt fabric, of course. Fleece on the back, of course.

More details later!

A (different kind of) T-Shirt Quilt

When most people think of T-Shirt Quilts, they think of the kind of T-Shirt Quilt made with all the logos, pictures, and "interesting" stuff from favorite T-Shirts.

When I make a T-Shirt Quilt, I'm usually using smallish squares cut from the solid-colored "plain" parts of T-shirts.

Here's one of the latest ... Just before quilting. I quilted it with variegated thread, and the rainbow-colored thread was just the thing for this quilt.

The colorful squares in this quilt were all cut from actual T-shirts, and the white squares were all cut from a cotton jersey-knit sheet.

Leaders and Enders

The leaders and enders are making an appearance again ... They may someday become a finished product after all! This one is still in progress ... More pictures soon, when it's done!

Gingham in progress

I've got a plan for the finishing up of my gingham-sampler quilt pieces ...

Lots of cutting, patchwork-ing, and quilting is going on ... Hoping to finish soon!

Just finished Shirts and Jeans Quilt

This was a fun quilt to finish up this week.

I mentioned this one a couple weeks ago ...

Jeans squares, surrounded by little colorful squares of shirt fabrics. There are 42 jeans squares, and over 800 little colorful squares!

I've made several jeans quilts (see the "Jeans" label in my blog sidebar), but this is the first one I've made that included cotton shirt fabrics. The solids, plaids, stripes, and prints add a lot to the quilt.

This quilt measures 65" x 75", so it's nice and big. It's backed with new fleece, so it's warm and cozy.

For a little while, this quilt is available for sale on eBay.

When Friday comes, I'll be linking this post to Finish It Up Friday at CrazyMomQuilts, and I'll be interested to get some more great inspiration from other quilters' finishes that are linked there.
