"Round" Patchwork, a.k.a. "Ferris Wheel"

So, I got to a stopping point on my "round" blue English Paper Piecing. Which means, this piece is done. I've already got plans for my next one ... stay tuned.

Since I blogged about this one twice recently (here and here), there's not much else to say.

I found out recently that this English Paper Piecing design might have a name. Apparently, some people call it Ferris Wheel! (Who knew?) Lots of pictures of this design on a Ferris Wheel Flickr group - pretty neat to see the different "looks" the same design can have!

I'm linking this post to this week's "Little Quilt Monday" at Pieceful Life.
Hope your week's off to a great start!

  2. This and the pastels are looking fantastic! I am wondering if the Ferris wheel is the original name or not. Like most blocks they have many names depending on the generation making them. :) Katy @imagingermonkey calls it spring carnival. To me it looks like rolling rocks. Oh well! I'm having fun making them.
